It was a giant outline of everything I wanted to bring into the world, across my own business and my clients’ businesses. Every morning I’d open it and pick whatever I felt called to work on that day. No outline of what it would actually take to bring any one thing into the world. No line connecting today’s task to a specific, tangible goal. Just a list, and a feeling, and me deciding in real time what earned my attention.

It worked, sort of. I got things done. But I couldn’t have told you which of those things actually moved the needle, because nothing was laddered up to anything. It’s like I forgot everything I learned in corporate america that works. Don’t worry, I remembered.

Six months later, I don’t have a task list. I have a roadmap. And the shift between the two is the thing I want to walk you through.

Where this actually comes from

Before Be Good Guide, I spent 23 years in tech and product, and a good chunk of that was inside the Agile process, which came out of engineering and eventually took over how a lot of the companies I worked at executed plans.

Agile is a philosophy more than a rigid method. It prioritizes people and collaboration over rigid tools, and responding to change over following a fixed plan set in January and defended through December.

In practice, that meant breaking down a big goal from the C-suite into short, defined cycles of work instead of trying to plan the whole thing up front. What I watched it do well, across multiple companies and multiple teams, was give leadership visibility into progress as a byproduct of the work itself, not as extra reporting bolted on top. And it wasn’t built around a deadline you worked backward from. It was built around continuous progress that laddered up to something bigger, at a pace that respected what the team could actually hold.

Here’s why that matters if you run your own business. In a company, that structure exists because there are departments. There’s a person for bringing in new business and a person for delivery and a person watching the roadmap. When you’re a solopreneur, you’re every one of those departments. Some days you’re in the weeds: sending emails, running client sessions, launching the thing. Other days you need to be above it, looking at where you’re actually headed.

Most entrepreneurs never built the structure that lets you move between those two modes on purpose. So you just stay in the weeds, because the weeds are loud and the roadmap is quiet.

The three layers: goal, milestone, task

This is the ladder I use now, and I think most people are missing the middle rung.

Goals need to be measurable, and I give mine a long runway. Mine are set for the full year, and I don’t revisit them until the following Q3. This let’s me focus on what I’ve committed to and then also gives me a quarter ahead to decide on the next years goals (yearly planning happens in the Q3 before). I also keep the number of goals small on purpose. I track a main revenue goal, a scale goal (email list and Substack subscribers, free and paid), an authority goal (things like podcast guesting or speaking), and an operations goal focused on what I’m optimizing or automating. That last one isn’t a quantity metric. It’s closer to done or not done. I also make sure to have 1-2 Joy goals for myself (take 2 trips, attend a retreat, etc). Those are what make the other goals worth it.

Milestones are what most people would call projects, and they’re the layer almost everyone skips straight past. If you’re sitting down and asking “what could I build,” you’re not yet asking how it ladders up to where you’re going. Say the goal is $30K. The milestone underneath it isn’t “launch something new.” It could just as easily be “land 10 clients on an existing service, from your existing audience.” That’s a milestone: specific, and completable.

Tasks are what it actually takes to hit the milestone. Under “land 10 clients on an existing service,” a task might be identifying which past clients are warm leads for that service again. Another task is drafting the email. Another is sending it. Nothing revolutionary on its own, but every task is now attached to something. That’s the whole shift. You stop piling on to-dos and start asking what each one is actually contributing to.

Running the retrospective before you build the roadmap

Before I help a client build their roadmap, we run a Stop, Start, Continue retro first. I did this with one of my monthly advisory clients two weeks ago, using a template I already had built in Canva, and it’s a fast way to look back at the last six months honestly, not just at what’s working externally, but inside the team itself.

We split the board into three: what to stop, what to start, what to continue. What surfaced for me, watching this business from the outside, was a version of the exact thing I’d lived myself in January. One note I wrote during the retro: working on tasks that aren’t attached to a goal. Another: the business was mostly focusing on foundations, and it was time to shift into growth mode. Different business, same root cause. Motion without a ladder underneath it.

That’s the value of the retro. It surfaces where you’re moving for the sake of moving, before you build the next six months on top of it.

Two weeks out, the roadmap for that client is now built in structure, and we’re filling in the tasks as we go.

Start small

You don’t need a polished system to try this. Grab three columns, real or digital, and write down what to stop, start, and continue looking back on your last six months. Then take one goal you’re already circling and ask what the milestone underneath it actually is, not what you could build, but what specific, completable thing would move you toward it. Break that milestone into three tasks you could do this week.

I haven’t built the roadmap out as a template yet. I want to know what would actually be useful before I do.

I built a nighttime ritual I actually do now. One prize wheel, one spin, whatever it lands on. The decision gets made before my brain is too far gone to make it. That’s it.

But let’s back up a but to how I got here. I‘ve been on a longer journey of learning to actually listen to my body, and one of the things that accelerated it was doing DNA testing with . What came back was specific enough to change how I think about my whole day: when my cortisol spikes, it stays high. And that directly impacts my sleep.

The end of my day, unbeknownst to me until now, is a cortisol management situation. What I do, watch, engage with, and think about in those last few hours before sleep either supports that or works against it. So rude, right?

My mornings are dialed. I’ve built a routine I actually love, one I revisit every six months so it stays fresh, and I feel genuinely supported by how I ease into the day. At night? That’s a different story.

The evening is the next frontier.

By 4pm, my brain is done. I wake up around six, I go to sleep around ten, which means 4pm is already two thirds of the way through my actual day. My nervous system has done the math even when I haven’t. And asking my 4pm brain to choose a restorative evening activity out of the blue is asking it to do the thing it is least equipped to do at that moment. So it reaches for whatever has the lowest entry barrier.

For a long time, the default at the end of the day has been putting on TV and numbing. Currently in rotation: Love Island. It’s literally on like every day so it’s reliable as a default. And I’m watching, and I’m scrolling, and I just feel like I’m numbing.

The insight that finally cracked it came from a call with my somatic movement coach Sam (she’s incredible and trains you on how to process the stored emotions in your body in a way that feels safe and supportive).

We’ve been doing movement and visualization work and this week, we landed on the topic of rest. On my relationship with it. On where I learned that rest needed to be earned.

My mom self-abandoned to host every holiday. The days of prep, the hours in the kitchen with no help while everyone else enjoys themselves. Started as just Easter, became every single one. My dad, an entrepreneur and the bread winner, also built the house we grew up in with his own hands. Weekends were projects. The message underneath all of it was: there is always more to be done.

The belief I’m still untangling is “if I stop moving, I’ll fall behind.” And when I’m in a rest cycle, I feel guilty about it, which creates pressure, which creates freeze, which means I have to dig myself out before I can actually rest. By that point I’m just putting on Love Island and calling it a night.

I already knew this. It’s not NEW information. The sauna is where I feel it most clearly. No book, no phone, just existing. I feel amazing after. I don’t struggle to know what rest feels like. The struggle is trying to decide how to do it when my brain is already mush.

Think about when someone is grieving…you don’t ask them what they need. The part of the brain that generates preferences and makes choices is offline. The most useful thing you can do is show up with a plan and remove the burden of deciding. You bring the soup. You make the call. You take the choice off their plate entirely.

My brain at 4pm is in a similar place. Rest requires a micro-decision: pick the thing, get up, do the thing. Scrolling requires zero decisions. That is where the whole evening goes.

Here’s how I solved this in the most fun way I could think of

So I happened to have this prize wheel from a conference event I did. Obviously. Who doesn’t have a prize wheel?

When I mentioned my plan in my HOT GIRL FNDR group chat, the ideas came in immediately. My friends sent ritual after ritual. I now have a full backlog I’m still sorting through. The crowd-sourcing happened so naturally because the premise was specific enough to make it easy to contribute and I happen to be surrounded by the most brilliant baddies who make me feel super supported.

So there it was. I had everything I needed. I put rituals on the wedges. One spin, that’s the protocol. Whatever it lands on, I do it. I can spin again and stack if I want more. I can swap wedges whenever the novelty wears off. I don’t have to generate the idea from scratch when I’m already running on empty.

The wheel is working. The gap between knowing what would help and actually doing it is almost never willpower. It’s friction. And friction at the end of the day, when your brain has already closed up shop, compounds everything that didn’t get processed.

People will tell you it’s the funnel. Or the niche. Or the content. Or the energy. And sometimes those things are genuinely the problem. But if I had to name the one thing I see underneath almost every “my business isn’t moving” conversation I have, it’s this: the founder cannot tell me, in plain words, what she does and who changes because of it.

At least not in a polished way. Not in a way that lands. Not in a way that makes the person across from her lean in.

She can tell me what she offers. She can list the deliverables. She can show me the Canva deck she made at 11pm when she was excited about a rebrand. What she can’t do is distill it into something that sounds like her, describes the real work, and opens a conversation rather than closing one.

And because she can’t, she does one of two things.

Option A: She splits herself.

She makes three separate Instagram accounts. One for the coaching, one for the Human Design readings, one for the branding work she still does on the side. She tells herself it’s better to keep things separate so audiences don’t get confused. What actually happens is she triples her content burden, thins her own energy across three places, and none of the accounts ever builds enough momentum to attract anyone.

Option B: She piles.

She puts it all in one place but her introduction sounds like a comma separated course menu of skills. Her website reads like a Cheesecake Factory menu. Forty-seven things, equal weight, no clear door in. A prospective client lands on it and the internal experience is: okay, but which one is for me? That is a question nobody wants to work to answer. They click away.

Both of these are positioning problems. The fix isn’t a new funnel. It’s a movement statement.

What a movement statement is

A movement statement is not a mission statement. Mission statements are for stable companies at scale that need something vague enough for the whole org to fit under. You are not that. You are an evolving founder building a body of work, and your body of work is still moving.

A movement statement names the thing your whole body of work comes back to. The transformation you are here to create in the world, even as the offers shift and the containers change and the thing you are most excited about this year looks different from three years ago.

It is the through line. The thing that is true whether you are running a retreat or doing a one-on-one session or teaching a workshop. If you say it out loud, you should feel it in your chest. When you say it to someone else, they should either say “oh, that’s exactly what I need” or “I know exactly who needs that.” Both of those are a win.

Mine: I architect businesses based on the human behind them.

It took me years to land that. Not because I didn’t know what I was doing, but because I was so inside the work that I couldn’t see the through line. That is normal. It is also fixable.

New Moons are quiet. They’re dark sky, no noise, internal orientation energy. They’re the moment before you start talking and you already know what you’re going to say.

This one though? This one has some electricity in it.

The New Moon on May 16th lands at 25 degrees Taurus, tightly conjunct Mercury (28 degrees Taurus) and conjunct Uranus, which just crossed into Gemini at 1 degree. The chart ruler, Venus, is also in Gemini. Mercury, which rules Gemini, is sitting right next to this lunation.

What that means in plain English: this is a New Moon that is asking you to get grounded and intentional right before everything speeds up. You’re setting seeds in slow, stable Taurus while all the action is already starting to gather momentum in Gemini. This is not your typical “light a candle and journal” New Moon (though, do that too). This is a lunation that is asking you to be deliberate because the window is real and things are about to move.

For business owners especially, this is a meaningful moment. New cycles are beginning. The question is whether you're going to step into them with clarity or just get swept up in the current.

A Word About Taurus

Taurus is the sign of what’s real. Not aspirational, not theoretical, not “eventually.” What’s actually here, actually yours, actually worth something to you right now. It’s the sign of the body, the senses, the earth under your feet. It values beauty, steadiness, material security, and things that are built to last.

The shadow side of Taurus is inertia. Getting so comfortable with what is that you stop moving toward what could be. This particular New Moon has a built-in corrective for that (see: Uranus at 1 degree Gemini, sitting six degrees away and absolutely not here for stagnation).

A Deeper Look at This Lunation

Here’s what makes this New Moon different from a standard Taurus reset: the chart is doing something genuinely interesting at the Taurus/Gemini cusp.

Uranus spent the last seven years in Taurus. Seven years of disruption to our values, our financial systems, our relationship with stability and the body and the earth. That era is done. Uranus crossed into Gemini, and it brought with it a very different set of questions: How do we think? How do we communicate? How do we process information at the speed life is actually moving? What does intelligence look like now?

This New Moon is sitting at the very end of Taurus, six degrees from that threshold. Mercury, the planet of communication and thought, is conjunct the lunation in Taurus AND rules the sign Uranus just walked into. Venus, the ruler of this entire lunation, is already in Gemini. The chart is basically showing you both sides of the door at once. MAJOR threshold energy here.

What you’re planting now is meant to grow in a different environment than the one you’ve been operating in. The seeds are Taurus: steady, value-aligned, body-based, real. But the soil they’re growing into is Gemini: faster, more connected, more information-rich, more relational.

For business owners, this looks like: the grounded, values-driven foundation you’ve built is about to enter a new phase of visibility, connection, and communication. We are shifting into a completely different gear here.

New Moon Conjunct Mercury (3 degrees)

Mercury this close to a New Moon means your mind is online for this cycle. Intentions set at this lunation are going to have real verbal and mental weight to them. This is a good New Moon to write things down, say things out loud, articulate what you’re actually beginning. Mercury in Taurus thinks slowly and carefully, which is a gift here: you’re not rushing to name something before you know what it is. You’re taking the time to find the right words. Those words are going to matter.

For business owners: this is an excellent time to draft the copy, write the offer, have the conversation, send the pitch. Mercury conjunct the New Moon means the message and the intention are the same thing right now.

New Moon Conjunct Uranus (6 degrees, Uranus at 1 Gemini)

Uranus conjunct a New Moon always introduces an element of surprise into the cycle you’re seeding. Whatever you’re beginning has some wildcard energy built in. Plans will deviate. Unexpected opportunities will show up. The thing you thought you were building might end up being a door to something you weren’t expecting.

The fact that Uranus is right at the Gemini ingress point makes this even more interesting: the disruption is specifically around communication, information, and how you connect with people. New platforms. New conversations. New ways of being found and heard. Some of this will catch you off guard in the best way.

The invitation here is to plant your intentions with some flexibility built in. Be specific about what you want. Be open about how it arrives.

Venus rules Taurus, which means Venus rules this New Moon. And right now, Venus is in Gemini. That puts the energy of this lunation in curious, conversational, connective territory. This Full Moon on May 1st is not here to be cute about it.

Sun at 11° Taurus, Moon at 11° Scorpio. Fixed signs don’t let things move through quickly. They hold what they find until you actually deal with it. So whatever this lunation surfaces for you, you’re going to be sitting with it for a minute.

Which, honestly? Might be exactly what you need.

Mars is the main character right now

Scorpio’s traditional ruler is Mars, and Mars is currently in Aries, the other sign it rules. So the planet running this Full Moon is at full strength, in its home sign, with zero interest in softening anything for you.

Mars conjuncted Saturn in Aries on April 19th. That was the pressure point. The moment things got forced, tested, decided. This Full Moon isn’t that moment. It’s the morning after, when the light comes in and you can actually see the room.

What I keep seeing since that conjunction

I’ve been noticing a theme in the people around me and honestly I think it’s the energy of this whole period. The universe is using contrast as a teaching tool right now.

Someone I know has been doing real work on a pattern she has of abandoning herself to take care of everyone else. She had a morning planned for herself. What actually happened was she got pulled into someone else’s crisis for hours, completely derailed by an addict who needed her in the way that pattern has always made her available to be needed.

By the end of that same day she was in a room full of people who saw her, celebrated her, held her with genuine warmth.

When we talked about it I said:

You can’t unknow that.

That’s what this Full Moon does. It doesn’t hand you information gently. It shows you the gap between where you’ve been and where you’re headed and makes it impossible to pretend you didn’t see it.

A note on Pluto

Pluto co-rules Scorpio in modern astrology and stations retrograde on May 6th in Aquarius, just days before this Full Moon.

When a planet stations it concentrates its themes, so anything in your life touching power, shared resources, or what you genuinely cannot walk away from has been louder than usual this week.

Whatever this lunation reveals in those areas is going to take time to process. Pluto retrogrades through October. Give yourself the longer timeline.

This is also an ending of sorts

From the spring equinox through early May, every major planet has been direct. All of them moving forward at once, which almost never happens for that long. A lot got set in motion. A lot got stirred up. The retrogrades start now, beginning with Pluto, and this Full Moon lands right at that pivot point.

So if April felt like a lot, it was supposed to. This is the moment you get to stop and ask: what was all of that actually unlocking in me? What did it show me that I didn’t have language for before?

That’s the real work of this lunation. Not fixing anything. Just being honest about what you saw.

• Follow the thing that lit you up, even if it showed up in a weird moment or an unlikely day. That’s data.

• Ask yourself what April actually unlocked. Not what happened, but what it opened up in you that wasn’t accessible before.

• Let the integration be slow. Pluto is retrograde through October. You don’t need a tidy conclusion by the end of the week.

• The version of yourself you were still performing for people who needed you small

• The pressure to explain what you’re becoming before you’re done becoming it

There’s a version of building a business that looks really good from the outside.

You’re booking clients. You’re showing up online. You have a website, an offer, probably a Notion workspace with a color-coded kanban board. Things are moving.

And yet—something still feels slightly off. Not broken (don’t be dramatic!) Just… misaligned. Like you’re playing a role you designed for yourself a year ago, and nobody told you it was okay to update the script.

I see this come up in a few different flavors:

• You’re growing, but the growth feels scattered. You’re saying yes to things that don’t quite fit, and you can feel the drift but can’t name it.

• You’re questioning whether your work still reflects who you actually are now, not who you were when you started.

• You’re newer to this and trying to build something intentional from the beginning, so you don’t end up in a version of your business that you have to burn down in two months…or two years.

The common thread across all three: you haven’t yet named your standards.

Not your values (we’ve all written those). Not your mission statement (useless, I’ve covered this). I mean the actual operating principles that dictate how you show up, how your work feels to the people in it, and what you will and won’t do regardless of the pressure or the payday.

Your Embodied Standards of Working are the difference between a business that runs you and one you actually want to be inside.

They’re what you return to when someone makes a request that feels slightly off and you can’t articulate why. They’re what keeps your brand coherent across offers, content, and client experiences. They’re the gut-check you’ve been doing instinctively but have never written down.

Once you name them, they become a compass. And decisions get a lot cleaner.

There’s a very specific kind of moment we’re in right now, and it doesn’t feel subtle.

It feels like being called into a conversation you didn’t schedule. One where the terms are getting clarified whether you’re ready or not.

That’s how Taurus season opens.

Before the Sun even settles into its new sign, there’s a Saturn-Mars conjunction happening in Aries. Saturn in Aries is Saturn in fall, which means it’s uncomfortable, a little stiff, not operating at full power. It still does its job (Saturn always does its job), but it does it with friction. Mars is the natural ruler of Aries, so it’s home, but Saturn’s presence slows it down, weighs it down, forces it to be deliberate instead of just fast. The result is pressure that can’t discharge cleanly. Energy that wants to move but has to earn its way forward.

And then Mercury steps into that conjunction.

Mercury walking into an existing Saturn-Mars meetup is not a soft transit. Suddenly whatever has been building under pressure has to be named. Put into words. Dealt with consciously. The things you’ve been sensing, the directions you’ve been quietly committing to or quietly avoiding: Mercury arriving here means they’re becoming a conversation now. With yourself, with someone else, or both.

This is the doorway into Taurus season. A reality check, not a punishment. A moment of “let’s be honest about what we’re actually working with.”

Then the Sun moves into Taurus and the energy shifts.

But it doesn’t go soft. Taurus is fixed earth. It’s deliberate, patient, and completely immovable once it’s decided. After all that Aries fire and the charged Mercury-Saturn-Mars activation, Taurus season is asking you to land. To stop moving for movement’s sake and figure out what you’re actually building.

And underneath all of it: Uranus is moving into Gemini. We got a preview. Now it’s planting its flag for the next seven years. Uranus has spent years in Taurus shaking up money, bodies, and the entire concept of material security. Moving into Gemini means the disruption shifts into how we think, communicate, and exchange information. The ground isn’t just shifting. It’s shifting into a new shape entirely, and this season is the beginning of that.

Aries season forced the move. Taurus season is asking if you actually meant it.

What Taurus Season Is Actually About

People love to say Taurus season is about rest and self-care, and sure, that’s not wrong exactly. But that framing misses what’s actually being asked of you.

Taurus is a builder. It’s fixed earth, which means it doesn’t just want things to feel good, it wants things to last. It’s asking: what are you actually willing to sustain? Not what sounds good, not what you’re inspired by in theory, but what you’ll still be showing up for when it’s not exciting anymore?

Aries season got you moving. Taurus season asks:

• Was that real, or was that adrenaline?

• Do you want the result or do you want the process too?

• What’s actually worth your time, your money, your energy?

• And what have you been treating as valuable that no longer is?

There’s also the Full Moon in Scorpio on May 1, which sits directly opposite the Taurus Sun. Scorpio rules what’s underneath, the power dynamics, the financial entanglements, the emotional debts, the things that are technically fine but feel like a slow leak. This Full Moon closes out a cycle that started with the New Moon in Scorpio back in November 2025. Whatever you were beginning to examine then, whatever you were just starting to be honest about beneath the surface, this is the culmination. Expect things to surface. Expect clarity you might not have asked for.

And then May 16 brings the New Moon in Taurus, which is the reset. New seeds, new commitments, a fresh beginning in exactly the territory this whole season has been excavating.

The arc of this season is: reality check at the start, revelation at the Full Moon, recommitment at the New Moon.

The Zodiac Season Challenge

Here’s the actual assignment for Taurus season:

Quietly, consistently, in the small choices that nobody’s watching. This season is an experiment in follow-through.

You are being asked to:

• Do the thing you said you’d do, even when the urgency is gone

• Let yourself receive what you’ve actually worked for

• Stop moving the finish line the moment you get close to it

And let’s be clear about something:

Staying busy is not the same as building something.

Taurus season doesn’t reward hustle for its own sake. It rewards showing up with your whole self, over and over, for something you’ve consciously chosen. This is not a sprint. This is not a pivot. This is the long, unglamorous, deeply satisfying work of building something real.

One thing I think happens when you stop obsessing over strategy all the time is that you actually get your time back.

And I don’t mean in some magical “work four hours a week” kind of way. I mean that when you’re not constantly trying to decode someone else’s funnel, content cadence, sales framework, or “what’s working right now,” you suddenly have way more capacity to pay attention to your actual business.

Your actual people.
Your actual clients.
The actual experience of being in your world.

And honestly, I think that matters a lot more than people give it credit for.

Because some of the best things I do in my business are not the loudest things. They’re not always the things that would make a flashy Instagram carousel. They’re the quieter decisions that make people feel really taken care of once they’re already in proximity to me.

That’s what I think of as white glove service.

Not in a stuffy or overly polished way. More in a “you can tell I actually thought about what this would feel like on your end” kind of way.

Like if I’m sending an email, I want the subject line to be easy to find later. If it’s a proposal, I’m going to actually say proposal in the subject line, even if I make the rest of it more fun. If it’s an event invite, I want it to still feel exciting, but I also want someone to be able to type “invite” or the event name into their inbox later and pull it up without digging through chaos.

That’s white glove to me.

If I’m reviewing something for a client or teaching them how to use a system, I’ll often record a Loom because I know that’s easier than sending six paragraphs of explanation. It gives them the walkthrough, it gives them context, and it gives them a place to ask questions without needing to schedule another call.

That’s white glove to me too, and it doesn’t stop at just explaining something clearly.

It also looks like teaching and delivering things in more than one format. Because people don’t all absorb information the same way. Some people need to hear it. Some need to read it. Some need to see it mapped visually. Some need a checklist, a table, a chart, or an actual example they can reference while they’re doing the thing.

So if I’m walking someone through something, I’m usually thinking about how to make it easier to actually take in and easier to implement. That might mean a Loom with written instructions underneath. It might mean breaking something into sections with clear headers, visual hierarchy, or simple formatting that makes it easier to scan later. It might mean giving them a Canva template they can actually use, or a Notion page they can duplicate instead of expecting them to build it from scratch after the call.

Accessibility matters here too. Captions, clear formatting, and multiple entry points into the same information are all part of the experience.

To me, that’s white glove too. Not just delivering the insight, but making it easier to receive and actually do something with once it lands.

If we’re on a call and making decisions, I’m not expecting them to also be frantically taking notes while trying to stay present. I’m capturing what we’re deciding in real time. I’m organizing action items. I’m documenting what matters so they can stay in the conversation instead of trying to become their own project manager mid-session.

That’s also white glove.

And none of this is particularly glamorous, which is maybe why people don’t talk about it enough. But I think this is actually a huge part of what makes a business feel really good to be inside of.

A lot of people are spending so much time trying to get more eyes on their business that they’re not putting enough intention into what happens when someone actually enters it.

And to me, that’s the whole game.

Because yes, obviously, you need attention. You need visibility. You need people to know you exist. But if all of your energy is going toward attracting and none of it is going toward care, clarity, thoughtfulness, and actual support, people can feel that too.

So when I think about white glove service, I’m really thinking about the entire relationship someone has with your business, from the first moment they come across you all the way through working with you, finishing with you, and ideally staying connected to your world afterward.

Some moons feel reflective. Quiet. Internal.

This one doesn’t.

This New Moon in Aries feels like a threshold around action, identity, anger, self-trust, and what happens when your nervous system wants to default to old survival strategies, but your soul is asking you to move differently.

Because this isn’t just a New Moon in Aries. The Sun and Moon are meeting up with Chiron here too, while Mars — the ruler of this lunation — is also in Aries alongside Saturn, Neptune, and Mercury. That is a huge Aries concentration in the sky, and you can feel it.

There’s heat here. Pressure. Urgency. A sense that something wants to move. Something wants to begin. Something wants to be said, chosen, confronted, initiated, or finally acted on.

But with Chiron involved, and with Mars sitting with Saturn and Neptune, this isn’t just about boldness for the sake of it. It’s not “just go for it” energy. It’s much more nuanced than that.

This moon is asking a deeper question:

What kind of action do you take when you feel activated?

That’s where the real work is.

Because Aries moves fast, but Chiron slows the story down enough for you to notice what’s underneath the impulse. Are you acting from self-trust? Or are you acting from an old wound that’s still trying to keep you safe? Are you initiating because something is genuinely ready to begin, or because being still long enough to feel what’s here is uncomfortable?

That’s the threshold this moon is offering.

And honestly, I think this is one of those lunations that can create real movement, but only if you’re willing to be honest about the energy underneath the action. Not every urge to “do something” is aligned. Some of it is instinct. Some of it is self-protection. Some of it is wisdom. Some of it is fear dressed up as urgency.

This New Moon is not asking you to never act from pain again. It’s asking whether you’re willing to choose a different first move.

That’s what feels so potent about this one.

What’s in the air

There’s a lot of fire around this lunation, but it doesn’t feel simple.

Aries wants momentum. It wants clarity, movement, self-definition, and forward motion. Chiron brings healing, but not in a soft, abstract way. It brings awareness to the places where you’ve been bruised around identity, courage, visibility, anger, instinct, and the right to take up space as yourself.

Then Mars, the ruler of this whole lunation, is tied up with Saturn, Neptune, and Mercury, which adds a very specific texture to the fire.

There may be a strong desire to move, paired with uncertainty around how to do it cleanly. You may feel more aware than usual of where you’re ready to go, but less tolerant of the ways you’ve been forcing, performing, overcompensating, or trying to manufacture certainty before it’s actually there.

This can feel like a pressure cooker if you’re not paying attention. But it can also be incredibly clarifying.

Because sometimes the point isn’t to become less activated. Sometimes the point is to become more aware of what your activation tends to make you do.

That’s where this moon can actually change something.

What this New Moon is really asking

I don’t think this moon is asking, “What can I make happen right now?”

I think it’s asking:

What would I do next if I trusted myself more than I trusted the wound?

That’s a very different question.

A lot of people learned to act from urgency, defensiveness, proving, hyper-independence, or fear of being misunderstood, left behind, overlooked, or exposed. And Aries can absolutely amplify those instincts if you’re not conscious of them.

But mature Aries energy isn’t chaotic or impulsive just because it’s fiery. At its highest, it’s clean. It’s direct. It knows what it knows. It moves because it trusts itself enough to move.

That’s what’s being recalibrated here.

This moon can absolutely bring new beginnings, but I think the real invitation is to notice whether your version of “starting fresh” is actually fresh… or just the same old pattern wearing a new outfit.

Quick Shift: The First Move Audit

If you only do one thing with this moon, let it be this:

Before you send the text, launch the thing, confront the person, pivot the plan, or make the call, pause and ask yourself:

What is my first move trying to accomplish?

Is it trying to protect you? Prove something? Regain control? Get relief? Avoid vulnerability? Reclaim self-trust?

There’s no wrong answer, but your answer will tell you a lot. Because your first move reveals your pattern. And this moon is giving you a chance to interrupt it.

What kind of action have I been taught to take when I feel hurt, unseen, threatened, or uncertain — and what would feel different now?

That’s the kind of question I’d sit with under this moon.

Not because this is a “stay in your journal forever” lunation. It’s not. But because once you understand the pattern, you stop letting it drive.

How to work with this energy

If you’ve been feeling activated, emotional, impatient, or weirdly ready to blow something up and start over, I would not make this the moon where you try to “fix” your whole life in one dramatic burst of fire.

I’d make it the moon where you choose one clean, self-trusting action.

Not the biggest one. Not the loudest one. Not the most impressive one.

Just the cleanest one.

That might look like saying the thing instead of stewing on it. Deciding what you’re no longer available for. Putting your name on the thing you’ve been hesitating to claim. Changing the boundary. Making the call. Moving your body instead of marinating in the activation. Finally acting on something you already know.

This moon doesn’t need theatrics to be powerful. It needs honesty.

Feeling pulled in ten directions at once? This is the simplest business audit you will actually finish. Three questions that tell you exactly where to put your energy next. Let’s dive in.

There are seasons where life and business don’t feel wrong, exactly. They just feel cluttered. Too many tabs open, too many moving pieces, too many “good ideas” competing for your attention. Sometimes it’s not even that anything is dramatically broken. It’s just that everything has gotten a little too loud, a little too heavy, or a little too far away from what actually matters.

When I get into one of those seasons, I’ve noticed that my first instinct is usually to try to optimize my way out of it. I’ll want a better plan, a cleaner system, a more motivating routine, or some magical burst of clarity that makes all the right priorities obvious. But most of the time, that’s not actually what I need.

Usually, what I need is a way to sort signal from noise.

That’s why I come back to this exercise over and over again. It’s simple, but it cuts through the chaos fast. I use versions of this when I’m in a pivot, after a launch, when my content feels disconnected, when my offers need pruning, or honestly any time I can feel that I’m spending energy in too many directions at once.

What makes this tool work is that it doesn’t ask you to reinvent your whole life or business. It just helps you get honest. What’s no longer working? What actually wants your attention now? And what’s already supporting you that you need to stop overlooking?

Because a lot of the time, overwhelm is not a motivation problem. It’s not even always a capacity problem. It’s a sorting problem. You haven’t yet separated what’s outdated, what’s distracting, what’s still valuable, and what needs to begin. So everything starts to feel equally urgent, equally noisy, and equally unfinished.

And when everything feels equally loud, it becomes almost impossible to make clean decisions.

That’s where this audit comes in. It gives your brain and your nervous system a structure for seeing clearly again. Not in a dramatic “burn it all down” kind of way, but in a grounded, useful, “okay, this is what’s actually happening here” kind of way.

Don’t overthink it. Just write the first thing that comes up under each one. You’ll usually know more quickly than you think. That’s often the interesting part. The truth tends to arrive pretty fast once you stop asking it to compete with all the noise.

This is one of my favorite tools for moments like the beginning or end of a month, a post-launch cleanup, an offer pivot, a season of burnout prevention, or just one of those weird in-between periods where your calendar is full but your progress feels fuzzy. It’s especially helpful when you know something needs to shift, but you can’t yet tell whether the answer is to let something go, build something new, or simply recommit to what’s already working.
