A sovereignty reset for leaders who are done performing for approval.

February 17, 2026

Today I got my gut test results back. Actual data explaining the root cause of so many issues I’ve been having for what seems like forever.

The diagnosis? I have a staph infection in my colon that’s likely been there for years. It’s creating inflammation. It’s disrupting digestion. My immune system is literally attacking my own body in response.

So I shared that. Not publicly. Not performatively. With someone close to me.

And within that exchange, my health, or lack thereof, was flattened into weight. As if infection is an aesthetic issue. As if inflammation can be solved by shrinking. As if size is a diagnosis.

This didn’t come from malice. Just conditioning. The quiet cultural assumption that if something is wrong in a bigger body, the body itself must be the root problem.

And what landed hardest for me weren’t the specific comments. It was being misunderstood by someone I thought knew me. That’s the part that stung. Because this isn’t a one-off moment. It’s a pattern I keep witnessing in our culture where complex health issues are reduced to weight and it’s assumed that everyone’s “health” goal is to be thin.

But my body is not a problem to solve. It’s a system to steward.

My motivation has never been to be smaller in any sense of the word. It has always been to be more resourced. More regulated. More fully myself.

And this moment felt like a challenge to my character and values:
I offered vulnerability.
An external framework was projected onto me.
I felt anger.

Not explosive anger. Clarifying anger. The kind that says: “This isn’t aligned.” The not-self rearing it’s head for a Manifestor.

The old me would’ve swallowed that anger. Most likely would have gone into over-explaining to try and prove my motivation, my labs and my wellness while also trying to make the whole exchange more comfortable. Not ruffling any feathers.

But Aquarius doesn’t want you to be watered down or simplified or normalized or mainstream. It wants you to be able to detach from inherited narratives. About bodies. About worth. About who you are “supposed to be”. It’s wants you to be uniquely yourself, wonderfully weird and for you to move based on your internal compass.

Neptune and Saturn moving from Pisces into Aries reinforces this. It’s all about coming home to what you know to be true about yourself. It’s being able to say:

“I can understand your framework.
And I still don’t accept it as mine.”

So, in that moment, I chose myself and I chose to be unbothered.

Unbothered doesn’t mean numb.
It doesn’t mean minimizing.
It doesn’t mean pretending it didn’t sting.

It means I felt it.
I named it.
And then I returned to center quickly.

I refuse to let outside noise derail me from my purpose. Other people’s opinions about my [insert area of life here] are none of my business. I am anchored in myself. That’s sovereignty.

And here’s the business translation.

Because leadership isn’t never getting knocked off-center. It’s about how quickly you recalibrate.

This could look like:

  • A client projecting their urgency onto you

  • A comment that questions your pricing

  • A collaborator misunderstanding your vision

  • An audience expecting you to perform a version of yourself you’ve outgrown

Aquarius energy asks:

Can you feel the heat…without rewriting yourself to accommodate it?

Can you separate signal from projection?

Can you return to center without burning everything down?

That’s the skill this eclipse is strengthening. Because an Aquarius eclipse isn’t just “something happening in the sky.” It’s a lived moment where you’re asked to separate truth from projection.

It’s the part of you that can say:

  • “I hear you.”

  • “I understand where you’re coming from.”

  • “And I’m still not available for that narrative.”

Not as a clapback. As a boundary. As self-trust. As leadership.

And if you’re someone building a business in public, this matters more than you think because your brand becomes a mirror people project onto. Your pricing, your pace, your identity, your body, your decisions. People will try to make you legible to their framework.

Aquarius energy says: You don’t owe them that.

The Aquarius New Moon Solar Eclipse lands tomorrow. A mental reset. A systems interruption. A detachment point.

And yes, there’s another lens here too. The Chinese zodiac shifts from Wood Snake to Fire Horse: from strategic shedding… to unapologetic forward motion.

Not reckless. Not reactive. Just clean momentum.

The reality is that this wasn’t an explosive confrontation. It was a quiet upgrade. An external, inherited narrative surfaced and instead of absorbing it, I released it.

That’s Aquarius.

Not cold. Not numb. More like: I can feel what I feel… and still choose what I believe. That’s the kind of clarity that changes your business.

The Aquarius–Leo Eclipse Series (2026)

We’re officially inside the Aquarius–Leo eclipse storyline for the next year and a half. It’s the axis of sovereignty vs. performance and innovation vs. approval.

Aquarius: Future vision, systems, networks, detachment from old narratives.
Leo: Identity, leadership, visibility, courage to be seen as you actually are.

This series asks:

Where are you leading from ego performance… and where are you leading from future vision?

Ego performance leadership sounds like:

  • “Will this land well?”

  • “Is this what people expect from me?”

  • “If I pivot, will I lose relevance?”

  • “Do I look legitimate enough?”

  • “What will they think?”

It’s reactive. It scans the room before it speaks. It adjusts to avoid friction. It builds offers that are legible, not necessarily aligned. It keeps you visible, but not necessarily fulfilled.

Ego performance is often born from:

  • survival

  • past praise

  • audience conditioning

  • early brand identity that once worked

It’s not evil. It’s just outdated once you outgrow it.

Future vision leadership sounds like:

  • “Where is this going long term?”

  • “What infrastructure does my next level require?”

  • “Who am I becoming and what does she build?”

  • “What would I create if I wasn’t trying to be understood immediately?”

  • “What’s sustainable five years from now?”

It’s strategic. It builds systems before spectacle. It tolerates temporary misunderstanding. It thinks in decades, not engagement metrics. It chooses integrity over applause.

Future vision leadership can look quieter at first. Less flashy. Less reactive. More intentional.

But it compounds.

Aquarius eclipses bring the disruption, the upgrades, the “this can’t stay the same” moments. Leo eclipses later in the year will ask you to step forward differently because of what you realized here.

This first Aquarius eclipse is the mental reset. The brainstorm before the rebrand. The download before the visibility shift. The concept before the courage.

What This Eclipse Illuminates

Aquarius works through technology, community, long-term thinking, and innovation. But on a nervous-system level? Aquarius is the moment you stop merging with everything around you.

This eclipse may bring:

  • A new idea for how your business should operate

  • A sudden awareness that your systems are outdated

  • A realization that you’ve outgrown your current audience

  • A download about scaling differently

  • A desire to detach from roles you’ve been performing

It may feel exciting. It may feel destabilizing. Eclipses move information fast and this one brings attention to:

  • Your relationship with projection

  • Your systems and structure

  • Your future-facing vision

  • Your willingness to detach without disappearing

Why This Matters

If you’ve been operating from habit, this eclipse interrupts autopilot.

It separates: what feels innovative from what feels obligatory

You may notice where you’ve been:

  • Over-delivering manually instead of automating

  • Leading from personality instead of structure

  • Holding onto offers that no longer match your future vision

  • Avoiding technology that could support you

This is a systems-and-strategy eclipse.

How to Work With This Eclipse: The Three-Phase Idea Container

Every idea that lands goes into one of three buckets:

  1. Idea (raw insight)

  2. Creation (building phase)

  3. Delivery (launch + visibility)

For two weeks: You are only allowed to engage in the Idea phase.

No timelines.
No announcements.
No Canva.
No domain names.

Let the concept breathe. Let inspiration mature before asking it to perform.

Journal Prompt: What ideas want space before they’re asked to become something tangible?
